The GEP-M1025 series is GEPRC's upgraded GPS line, built on the u-blox M10050 chip with a large 25x25mm ceramic antenna for stronger signal reception. It supports GPS + BDS + Galileo + QZSS + SBAS joint positioning across up to 32 satellites, with a built-in Flash chip and Farad capacitor that save configuration and give a fast hot start.

The series comes in seven models: a GPS-only version, or GPS with an optional QMC5883L or IST8310 magnetometer and an optional DPS310 or MS5611 barometer. Pick the model that matches your flight controller and flight modes — suitable for most FPV quadcopters, multirotors and fixed-wing models.

GEP-M1025-DI IST8310 DPS310 UART + I2C
GEP-M1025-MI IST8310 MS5611 UART + I2C

Q = QMC5883L compass, I = IST8310 compass, D = DPS310 baro, M = MS5611 baro.

Features

  • u-blox M10 series chip (M10050)
  • GPS + BDS + Galileo + QZSS + SBAS joint positioning
  • Fast positioning, up to 32 satellites
  • Stable connection quality
  • 25x25mm ceramic antenna for better signal reception
  • Built-in Flash chip and Farad capacitor for quick hot start
  • Onboard indicator light
  • Optional integrated magnetometer + barometer

Specifications

  • GPS chip: u-blox M10050
  • Input voltage: 3.3V – 5V
  • Receiving frequency: GPS L1, GLONASS L1, BDS B1, Galileo E1, SBAS L1, QZSS L1
  • Channels: 72
  • Satellites: up to 32
  • Output protocol: UART (u-blox); I2C for compass/baro models
  • Baud rate: 115200 bps
  • Update rate: 10Hz
  • Speed accuracy: 0.05 m/s
  • Horizontal accuracy: 2D 1.5m (open sky)
  • Sensitivity: tracking -162dBm, acquisition -160dBm
  • Antenna: 25 x 25mm ceramic

Wiring & setup

  • GPS: TX/RX to a free UART on the flight controller (TX to RX, RX to TX), plus 5V and GND.
  • Compass / baro models: connect SDA/SCL to the FC's I2C pads. Without I2C the GPS still works for GPS Rescue / RTH, just without the compass and baro.
  • Firmware: Betaflight 4.3 or newer (older versions don't support M10), INAV and ArduPilot.
  • INAV compass alignment: QMC5883 = CW 0° flip, IST8310 = CW 90° flip.
  • Mounting: antenna facing up, away from the VTX, power leads and motors. For micro builds choose a nano GPS (e.g. TBS M10N).

In the box

  • 1 x GPS module (model as selected)
  • 1 x terminal wire
  • 1 x instruction manual
  • 1 x GEPRC sticker
  • 1 x heat shrink tubing

Note: due to DPS310 supply constraints, GEPRC may ship the DPS368 barometer on D models instead. There is no difference in performance or usage between the two.
